Communitas is led by Matt Benn, and every project is crewed by a hand-picked circle of filmmakers, photographers and editors we have worked with for years. You meet the exact people who will shoot your film before anything is signed, and there is no account manager between you and them.

We look after everything from the first treatment to the final grade. Over the last few years that has meant carrying kit through the Kenyan bush, filming on Antarctic ice, and a lot of early ferries and late flights in between.

Four ways to work with us.

Pick the course that fits. Whatever the size of the job, it’s the same small collective taking it from first treatment to final grade, and the price is agreed before anything is signed.

Our prices are public because you should be able to plan around them. As far as we know, no other studio in our field publishes theirs.

One hero film, whether that’s a brand story, a documentary, a fundraising appeal or a campaign piece. You deal directly with the people who will shoot it, and where the project lands in the range depends on scale, travel and how much of the creative you want us to carry.

The talent, crew and lights are already booked, so it makes no sense to stop at one film. We plan the creative before the camera rolls, then capture eight social-first shoulder assets around the hero while everyone is still on set.

We embed with your organisation for twelve months, with a minimum of four field shoots mapped to your actual calendar. The fee starts at £80,000 and moves with the scope and the goals, which we agree together before anything is signed. Four shoots is the floor rather than the ceiling, so if the budget allows for more, we shoot more.
